FAQ
Straight answers to the septic questions we hear most.
If you don't see your question below, give us a call. We answer the phone Monday–Friday and we don't charge for an honest conversation.
01
How often should I have my septic tank pumped?
For most households, a septic tank should be pumped every 3 to 5 years. The exact interval depends on tank size, the number of people in the home, and your daily water usage. A family of four on a standard 1,000-gallon tank typically lands at the shorter end; a couple on a 1,500-gallon tank can usually stretch to the longer end.
Properties with garbage disposals, frequent laundry loads, or aerobic systems often benefit from more frequent service. When in doubt, we'll inspect first and pump only when warranted — no upselling.
02
What are the signs that my septic system needs repair?
Call us right away if you notice any of the following:
- Slow drains in multiple fixtures at once
- Gurgling sounds from toilets or sinks
- Sewage odors inside the house or near the drain field
- Standing water, soggy ground, or unusually green grass above the drain field
- Septic alarm sounding (aerobic systems)
- Sewage backing up into the lowest drains
Catching these early usually means a small repair. Ignoring them often means an emergency.
03
How much does septic tank pumping cost in the Dayton, TX area?
Pricing varies based on tank size, accessibility, condition of the system, and whether any repairs are needed during the visit. Rather than publishing one number that won't apply, we prefer to give a real quote over the phone after asking a few questions about your property.
What we can promise is what our customers say in reviews: transparent pricing, no upselling, and no surprise charges. Call (936) 258-3080 for a quote tailored to your home.
04
What is the difference between aerobic and conventional septic systems?
Conventional systems use anaerobic bacteria (no oxygen) inside a sealed tank to break down waste, then disperse partially treated effluent through gravity drain lines into a soil drain field. They're simple, durable, and inexpensive to maintain — but they need suitable soil to work properly.
Aerobic systems add oxygen using an air compressor, producing cleaner effluent dispersed through sprinkler heads or drip lines. They handle poor-soil sites and tighter lots, but require regular maintenance, electricity, and a service contract in most Texas counties.
If you're not sure which type your property has — or which type it should have — we'll inspect and recommend the right path during a site visit.
